Shares of UltraTech Cement jumped over 3pc intraday high on Friday, after the Aditya Birla Group company said its Q1 standalone net-profit scaled up more than twice fold compared to the equivalent period a year ago.
During market hours on Thursday, the cement major reported a net profit of Rs.1198.70-Cr for the quarter ended June 30, V/s Rs.598.39-Cr, YoY. The net profit on consolidated basis recorded at Rs.1207.81-Cr in the June quarter, registering a surge of 91.10pc, YoY.
The UltraTech Cement stock jumped as much as 3.55% to hit Rs.4,383.70 at its intraday high level on the NSE on Friday, while on the BSE the share rose 3.57% to Rs.4382.85 per share, reacting the healthy numbers of earnings.
At 1.35pm, UltraTech shares traded 2.06% higher at Rs.4,320.40apiece on the NSE, outperforming the benchmark Nifty index which was up 132 points at 11,164.24.
