Domestic Equity markets witnessed some selling force during the afternoon hours and finally closed the day lower. The BSE Sensex dropped 106-pts to 41,459-mark, while the NSE Nifty50 index ended at 12,174 marks, down 26 points on closing.
Among the Nifty losers, IndusInd Bank slipped 3.57 percent, Tata Steel dropped 1.77 percent, NTPC down 1.71 percent, ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank slipped 1.68 and 1.48 percent each.

Among gainers, Yes Bank added 6.39 percent, Dr. Reddys gained 3.95 percent, Zeel, SBI, and Titan slipped by 2.56 and 2.25 percent each.
Sectoral indices were combined with the Nifty Private Bank falling the most down 1.36 percent, followed by Bank Nifty which was down by 0.83 percent, however, PSU bank ended in the green for the day. The Nifty Pharma, IT Media, and FMCG also rose up to 0.85 percent.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.82 percent highs led by a strong rally in Tata Elxsi, Justdial, MindTree, Infosys, TCCS and Tech Mahindra.

GIL (Gillette India) stocks slipped 1 percent to Rs.6,350.00-apiece, even after the company posted Q3 results with a PAT Rs.71-cr, up 32-pc, year-on-year.
