Stock Through Mid-session, Metal stock rise


Mid-market Watch: Indian stock indices are trading on a positive note with Sensex is up by 109 points at 40554.71 while the Nifty gained 34 points and is trading at 11955-marks at 12.30-pm.

Nifty Metal is trading near 1.3% amid US-China trade deal optimism led by Steel Authority of India which shined near 4pc followed by Welspun Corp, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel and Vedanta.

Meantime, the Nifty auto index added 1.23% at 7,902.30 led by Bharat Forge which jumped 2.55 percent . The other gainers included MRF, Maruti, Motherson Sumi Systems, Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors.

The surge in Tata Motors (up 1.61%) after its JLR witnessed strong improvement in its China sales for the fifth regular month in November.

The top gainers from the Nifty index are  Adani Ports, Zeel, YES Bank, Tata Steel and Maruti Suzuki   while the top losers include TCS, Cipla, HCL Tech, Hindustan Unilever and Gail India

Among stocks, SBI is currently trading at Rs.322.65-per unit, up by Rs.2.65 or 0.83pc, after it has announced the reduction in its one-year MCLR by 10-base-points.

Meantime, Century Textiles, Adani Transmission, Coromandel and SRF have hit new one-year-high levels in their share price, while GAIL India and Allahabad Bank hit one-year low levels.
