Share benchmarks tumbled in morning trade, Thursday, following U.S markets witnessed heavy selling pressure. Meantime, market players will look out for earning optimism from major companies such as Maruti Suzuki, BHEL, JSW Steel among others are scheduled release their earning report today ahead of October Future and Options expiry.
The BSE Sensex traded lower 294 points at 33,739-mark, while the Nifty50 of NSE, lost 91 points at 10,133-level during morning trade today. Yes Bank, Wipro, TCS, Mahindra and Mahindra and Infosys have started trading with gains on the NSE, while Indiabulls Housing Finance, UPL, Bharti Airtel, Eicher Motors and Vedanta were trading in loss.
Shares in Yes Bank trade higher 1.37 percent at Rs. 206.80, ahead of earning numbers to be released later today.
All Sectoral indices on the NSE are trading in red. Nifty Reality and Nifty Auto Index were topo sector losers, filing over 1 percent each.
Indian Rupee: The domestic currency rupee opened at 73.36 against US dollar, lower than Yesterday’s close of 73.15.
Crude Oil: Crude oil price fell by near one percent on Thursday, with US stocks posting the biggest daily fall. Brent crude oil futures were at USD 75.42 a barrel 1 percent, lower their last close. WTI crude futures were at USD 66.23 a barrel, 0.9 percent, below their last settlement.
