Shares of Sterlite Technologies rallied over 6.5-percent on Thursday after the company secured the Telangana Fiber Grid (T-Fiber) project to deliver digital infrastructure to 60-Lakh rural citizens of Telangana.
The stock touched an intraday high of Rs.128.40, after gaining 6.55 percent on the NSE.
The global technology company, which is engaged in designing, building and managing smarter digital networks, informed the stock exchanges that the Company has been awarded the T-Fiber project to deliver digital infrastructure to over 60,00,000 rural citizens of Telangana. The deal is reportedly in value about Rs1800-Cr, where Sterlite Technologies will build and manage an end-to-end rural broadband network across 3,000 gram-panchayats in Telangana, the company reported.

Meantime, at 1.06-pm, the Sensex scaled at 41543.85, up by 238 points and the Nifty marked at 12257.70, up by 75 points in trade.
