The Indian stock indices opened lower to positive note on Thursday dragged by shares of IT firms over concerns of USH1B visa.
At around 10.00am, the BSE benchmark Sensex index traded 95points higher at 39,207.78, while the NSE frontline Index Nifty was up 24.20points at 11,715.65.
Top gainers on the fifty-scrip index at this time were Indiabulls Housing Finance, BhartiAirtel, Kotak bank, IOC and BPCL trading between 1.20pc and 2.79pc higher.
Top losers on the index were Wipro, UPL, Britania, Tech Mahindra and Zeel, trading between 1.42pc and 3.35pc lower.
BhartiAirtel, KOtak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank weighed the good number on Sensex.
The Nifty Information Technology index constituting IT shares fell upto an extent at 0.83pc at this time, with major falls in Wipro and TechMahindra.
Nifty PSU Bank gauge moves with marginal gains at 3,004.30, up by 0.64pc, while Nifty Bank gains 0.21pc at 30,424.35.
