Indian stock market indices-Sensex, Nifty- opened flat to positive note on Wednesday, 3-July with NSE Nifty below 11,900 level.
At 9.40am, the Nifty index was up by just 8 points at 11,918, while the BSE benchmark Sensex was higher at 39,853.54, by 37points.
Meanwhile, the Indian rupee zoomed at 68.85/USD against previous close 68.93.
On Commodity, Crude Oil prices edged higher today, with Brent crude futures for Sept delivery were scaling up 0.6%, at USD62.76/Bl, while US Crude futures for August were up 0.5%, at USD56.54 a barrel.
On stocks in the NSC, major gainers were Indiabulls Housing, YesBank, IndusInd bank and Asian paints whereas Vedanta, DrReddys, Gail, EicherMOtors and ONGC led the loss.
On the NSE sectoral front, Nifty IT, FMCG, financial service, metal, Pharma and PSU Bank were trading in the red, with maximum loss in Nifty Pharma (down 0.61%), with falling shares such as Aurbindo Pharma, Dr.Reddy’s and Biocon.
Among stocks, Adani Power trade down 0.39% at Rs.64.50 per share, after SupremeCourt gave permission to Adani Power Mudra’s decision of stopping the PP Agreement.
