Indian share benchmark indices opened higher on Tuesday, led by the gains in IndusInd Bank.
At 9.50am, the BSE Sensex was up 50.67 points at 39,011-level-level, while Nifty is up 5.90points at 11678-level.
IndusInd Bank, PowerGrid, Aeel, Cipla and Infosys are some of the major gainers on the Nifty, while TataSteel, Hindustan Unilever, Titan and AsianPaints led the loss.
Among the sectors, sectoral indices are in mixed trend. Nifty bank, Auto, Financial Service IT, Pharma and Pvt bank were seeing some buying pressure. On the other hand Nifty FMCG, metal, and PSU Bank indices are witnessing moderate selling pressure..
Among stocks, Reliance Industries sliped 0.86% after company informed that a minor fire happened in Linear Alkyl-Benzene plant at Patalganaga.
TCS rose 0.24% at Rs.2254.55 after it said that it has partnered with SAP to commence an IntelligentField InventoryManagement solution.
Meanwhile, the Indian rupee opened higher against the greenback. The rupee appreciated about 0.12 percent to 69.83 against the dollar. Today, the home currency rupee is expected to gain as dollar fell ahead of the US Fed Reserve’s meet later this week.
