Indian share markets opened on Thursday, on a strong note as the counting of votes in progress. At 10.40am, the BSE benchmark Sensex zoomed 914 points at 40,024-level while the NSE benchmark Nifty rose 272 points to 12010-level.
The leading sets of gainers at this time in the Nifty were Adani Ports, Yes bank, IndusInd Bank, SBI and L&T. On the other hand, Dr.Reddys, Vedanta, Hindalco, Wipro and ITC were losers.
In the Sensex also, the top gainers include YesBank, IndusInd Bank and State Bank of India rallying upto over 8percent, while Vedanta and TCS fall.
All the sectoral indices on the NSE were moving with solid gains with Nifty PSU gains rising the most by 7.25%, followed by Nifty bank BY 3.47%, Nifty private banks, up 3.27%, AND nifty Realty up 3%, among others.
