The BSE Sensex settled the day lower by 63-pts to 30609-mark, while the NSE Nifty dropped 10-pts to close at 9029-level.
Among the top Nifty losers in trade today were Bharti-Airtel, TCS, Bajaj Finserv, BajajFinance and Sun Pharma were among major losers in the Nifty, while top gainers were JSW Steel, Eicher Motors, Titan and Ultratech Cement. Shares of Bharti Airtel ended 5.94-pc to Rs557.05, after it parent entity Bharti-Telecom, reportedly revealed plans to raise USD1-billion by selling shares in the mobile phone operator via a block deal at Rs558.
Shares in HDFC closed the day 1-pc lower, following a fall in net profits for the quarter ending March 31, 2020.
