The market benchmark indices fell in today’s session with the Nifty falling over 100 points.

The fall is led after U.S President Trump announced the imposition of a 10pc tariff on USD300 billion of Chinese imports from Sept 1, rising trade worries between Washington& Beijing.

At 10.15am, the BSE Sensex is trading at 36,661-level down by 357-pts and the Nifty50 at 10866-level, down by 113-pts.

Among the top losers on the Nifty were Vedanta, Gail India, Coal India, Tata Steel and Hindalco, while gains were led by Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, Cipla, Infosys and UltraTech Cement.

All secotral indices on the Nifty were trading in the red with maximum losses seen in Nifty Metal (-2.92%), Realty (-2.85%), Auto (-1.71%) and Bank (-1.43%) at this time.

The popular Nifty Bank index’s fall were led by ICICI Bank, IDFC First bank, Bank of Baroda and IndusInd bank, down by 2 to 2.30% in range.

Auto stock were trading in the red with Ashok Leyland which is down 9.88%, Apollo Tyres down 5.77% and Hero MotoCorp down 2.43% as the top losers in the Auto index.
