Domestic markets ended higher for the fifth consecutive session on Tuesday driven by a surge in financials, such as Bajaj helped the rally. Gains in Kotak Bank, HDFC, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank also helped the markets reached higher.
The BSE Sensex ended 522-pts higher at 33,825 while the NSE Nifty rose 153-pt higher to settle at 9,979. Bajaj Finserv, ZeeEnt, BajajFinance, Tata Motors, and Kotak Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty-fifty, while Coal India, Maruti-Suzuki, BPCL, ITC, and DrReddy’s led the losses.Track latest market updates Best stock tips and stocks future from here.
All sectors, barring Nifty FMCG, closed the day in the green. Nifty Realty surged 4.93-pc, while Nifty Private Bank and Nifty Financial Services rose over 3.20-pc each. Nifty IT and Nifty Auto an also added close to one percent each.
Shares in Kotak Mahindra Bank rose 7.69-pc after promoter UdayKotak offloaded 5.6-Cr shares in the bank to comply with RBI promoter share-holding norms.
