Markets closed marginally lower after paring most of intraday losses on Friday, driven by bearish in banking, auto and realty stocks ahead of the third tranche of policy boost announcements by FM Nirmala Sitharaman later today.
The BSE Sensex closed flat by 25-pts lower at 31,097 while the Nifty closed at 9,137-mark, down 6 points in trade. On the sectoral space, Nifty Bank, Auto, Media and Realty were the top losers while buying was seen Nifty Metals and Nifty FMCG. Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, BPCL, Asian Paints and Tata Steel were among the Nifty top gainers in the Nifty, while top losers were M&M, Zeel, Axis Bank, Bharti Infratel and UPL.
