Reliance again surpasses TCS On Market capitalization

In Friday’s trade, Reliance Industries Limited surpassed TCS to again to bag the most valued firm title in terms of market capitalization.

Shares of Reliance Industries today opened at Rs. 1,096.10 and made an intra-day peak of Rs. 1129.30 on the BSE. On closing hours, the stock of Reliance was quoted at Rs. 1127.50, up 2.79% against previous day’s closing of Rs. 1096.90.

On the flip side, TCS shares opened the day at Rs. 1,889.90 and touched a high of Rs. 1898.55. TCS stock closed the day at Rs. 1882.25, rising 0.90% against the last closing price of Rs. 1865.50

On the BSE in the afternoon session, Reliance Industries’ market capitalization stood at Rs 714,573.46 crore whereas TCS stood at Rs 703,891.09 crore.

Meantime, today the benchmarks – The Sensex and Nifty – rose for third consecutive week clocking their longest rally in over two months. For the week, Sensex rose 0.85% and Nifty climbed 0.9%.
