Going through the markets at Mid-session, the Nifty PSU Bank index continued its losses for the second straight session. At near 13:00-hrs, the index fell 51 points at 2,159.70 led by Jammu & Kashmir Bank, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Indian Bank and Canara Bank.
Shares of Jammu & Kashmir Bank slipped 4.43-pc, PNB down 3.51 percent Bank of Baroda fell 3.12 percent, followed by Indian bank, Canara bank and Bank of India also down 2 percent each.
Union bank stock slipped by 1%, SBI, Central Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab Sind Bank and Bank of Maharashtra were also in the negative zone.
