Equity benchmark indices started Tuesday’s session on a weak note dragged by Yes Bank with its shares falling over 27pc after the Bank reported a quarterly net loss.
At 11.00 am, the Sensex of the BSE traded over 202points lower at 38,865-levels and the NSE Nifty was down 64points at 11,690-mark, Yes Bank stock trade lower by 26.20pc down Rs62.15 at Rs175 per share at this time.
Other stock which are trading in lower circuit in sequence are IndiaBull Housing (-6.37%), IndusInd Bank (-5.65%), BhartiInfratel (-3.44%) and HeroMoTo Corp down 3%. Conversely, HCL Technologies, Indian Oil Corp and Asian Paints were gaining between 1 to 2% higher in range.
Among sectoral indices, barring the Nifty IT, all the indices were trading in the red. Nifty PSU Bank Index fell the most 3.61% followed by Nifty Auto down1.69%, Nifty Pvt bank down 1.84% and Nifty realty down near 3% as top sectoral losers.
Shares of Hero MotoCorp fell 3.16% after the auto major posted a 24.51pc year-on-year declines in profit at Rs.730.32-cr for the quarter ended 31-March.
