Nifty Bank stocks rise led by Yes Bank, RBL

Key equity benchmarks moved into positive terrain marginally, after heavily entering negative zone in the morning session. At 1.00pm The Nifty was trading at 11,039-mark. Recovery on exchanges was supported by Bank and auto stocks.

The Nifty Bank trade higher at 28193-level up by 0.62%. Major index gainers were Yes bank up 4.83%, IDFC First bank up, 2.48%, PNB up 1.91%, Axis bank Up 1.59% and Bank of Baroda up by 1.48%

Also, RBLbank, IndusInd bank, Federal bank, Kotak bank and ICICI Bank, up by 0.34 to 1.44% in range. However, only the HDFC Bank falls by 1.40% in the Nifty bank index.

At the time of this report, the NSE Nifty was trading 18-points higher at 11,047while the Sensex was at 37,357 25 points up by 46 points.

In the Nifty50 index, shares of YES Bank, UPL, GAIL India, Grasim and Maruti were among the top gainers on the NSE, whereas Indiabulls Housing, TCS, Vedanta, TechMahindra and and Dr Reddy’s were among top losers.
