Indian stock market indices opened higher on Wednesday as banking shares, including Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel, started gaining.

Reliance Industries, IndusInd bank, SunPharma, Bharti Airtel and Larsen&Toubro were among major gainers on the Nifty, while Britannia, Yes Bank, ITC, Axis Bank and Eicher Motors were losers.

In the sectoral trends on Nifty, IT, Pharma, Metal Media, Bank/Pvt bank were trading in the green with major gains in the Pharma index which rose 1.23%, led by gains in Glenmark, SunPharma, and DrReddys.

The Nifty FMCG index slipped to the extent at 0.53%, followed by Nifty Financial Services, which slipped 0.15%

Among Stocks, Yes bank Slipped 1.95% to trade at Rs62.90, today after the Pvt sector lender has reported asset quality divergence worth Rs.3277-Cr on the basis of receipt of RBI’s final risk asses report for 2018-19.
