Sensex, Nifty opened on a higher level on Friday. Sensex starts at 35,465 levels up by 153 points, while Nifty trade at 10,635 levels up by 34 points. The domestic currency, rupee is trade at 70.5 per dollar its opening rate.
Except Nifty IT, metal and PSU banks, which trade in the red, all the Nifty sectoral indices trading in the green in which Nifty media lead up by 0.84% at 2,494.30.
Dr. Reddys, Cipla, Zee Entertainment were among major gainers on the Nifty, while HCL Tech, Gail, Tech Mahindra were early losers.
