Key benchmark indices opened flat to positive note on Monday led by mixed global signals. At 9.40-am, the BSE Sensex was trading higher by 53 points at 41311-level, and the NSE stood at 12119-level, buy by 6 points.
Gail India, IndusInd Bank, Titan Company, HDFC Bank, and Hindustan Unilever were among major gainers in the Nifty50, whereas ONGC, Yes Bank, Cipla, BPCL and Indian oil Corp led the losses.
Among sectoral indices on the Nifty, Banking/ Private Bank AND FMCG indices were trading marginally higher.
The Nifty-PSU-Banking index slipped the most, down by 1.60 percent. Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Indian Bank, PNB, Bank of India and Bank of Baroda were major losers up to 2 percent.Track more information on Best stock to watch and the latest shares and stock market today updates from here.
Auto, Metal, Media, and Realty were also trading lower up to 0.56 percent.
Among Stocks, ONGC slipped over 3 percent after the company on Friday reported a 49.7-percent fall in profit to Rs4,151.63-cr, year-on-year.
Shares in Glenmark Pharma rose to near 1 percent to Rs336.70-per share after the company reported a 64 percent year on year rise in profit to Rs.190.83-Cr.
