On Commodity, Crude Oil prices rose over 1pc today to hit their peak in nearly a month as stockpiles reportedly fell more than expected level.
At 9.40am, the BSE Sensex is up 143pts at 39578-level and the Nifty also up 37pts at 11833-level.
NTPC, PowerGrid, SunPharma, Coal India and Vedanta are among major gainers on NIfty, while laggard are BPCL, IOC, Indiabull-Housing, Zeel and TataSteel.
Among sectors, selling pressure witnessed in the IT and Realty, and the rest all witness moderate buying pressure.
Among Stocks, NTPC rise 1.95% to Rs141.15-per share, after company secured 40-MegaWatt Solar project.
Shares of Reliance Infrastructure advances 9.34% at Rs56.80-per share post promoters release pledged shares.
