Key benchmark indices opened higher on Thursday with positive global cues.
At 10.35am, the BSE Sensex was up 202points at 39,704-levels, and NSE’s Nifty50 was trading 52 points higher at 11,914.
NTPC, Yes Bank, BhartiAirtel, Asian Paints and TCS were among the top gainers on Nifty50 index, while EicherMotors, M&M, Sun Pharma, Ongc and TataSteel led the losses.
Sectoral sectoral indices, except auto, metal and Pharma, were trading in the green. Nifty PSU Bank gained the most, up 0.63 pct followed by Nifty IT up 0.58pc Banking and realty indices were also trading in the green.
Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) shares fell 1.47pc after CLSA down-graded the stock to UNDERPERFORM after its fourth quarter numbers and reduced its target price to Rs690/- per share from Rs850/-earlier.
