Markets Tuesday opened higher and Swinging between gains and losses, with the Nifty above 12250-level. The rupee also opened higher by 7-ps at 71.37-per the US-dollar.
At around 10.00-am, the BSE Sensex scaled at 41262-mark, up by 106 points, whereas the NSE’s Nifty50 traded higher by 25 points at 12143.
Most of the sectoral stocks witness buying, except a marginal fall in Nifty IT as well as Metal stocks. The metal index slipped 0.83 percent lower led by Vedanta and JSW Steel.
Among the fifty stocks in the Nifty, major gainers were HDFC, BPCL, HeroMotorCorp, UPL and Mahindra and Mahindra. On the downside, the PowerGrid, Vedanta, JSW Steel, Nestle India and Tata Steel slipped in between 1.29 and 1.92 percent.

Among the stocks reacted to results, Housing Development Finance rose by 6.27 percent to Rs 2,450.30 after Company net profit reportedly surged to Rs8,372.5-crore.
Shares in Indigo added Rs.3.75 in its share price at Rs.1,499.50 after the airline company reported a net profit of Rs496 crore in Q3FY20 as against Rs 185.2 crore, year-on-year.
Shares of Torrent Pharma slipped 4.65-percent to Rs.1,932.90 after Company’s Q3FY20 profit rose 2 percent to Rs.251-crore.
Shares of United Spirits surged 7.24-percent to Rs.617.40-per share after the company reported a 15-percent net-profit in Q3 to Rs.232-crore.
