Indian share benchmarks ended lower for the second consecutive session in today’s trade. The BSE Sensex plunged 151 points to 36,395, while the NSE Nifty ended lower 55 points at 10,888.
IOC, Tata Steel, Cipla, Tata, Motors and ZEEL were among top gainers on the Nifty50, while Dr. Reddy’s, Mahindra and Mahindra and ONGC are top losers.
All sectoral indices, except Nifty IT and media, closed in red. Nifty PSU Bank Index plunged 1.7 percent, while media was the top sectoral gainer, up 1.32 percent In other indices, pharma index slid 1.63 percent on the day.
Shares of Bharat Petroleum Ltd dropped over 1 percent to Rs. 334 after declaring their Q3 results.
Tata Motors stock declined for second consecutive day on JLR concerns, while Hero Motocorp fell 1.42 percent to Rs. 2897 per share as stock traded ex-dividend.
