After seven consecutive sessions of fall, Indian benchmark indices lifted the buying force on Tuesday.
The BSE benchmark Sensex concluded 479-pts higher at 38,623.70. The front-line NSE Nifty rose 170-pts to close at 11,303 marking the biggest one-day gains in a month.
Complete sectoral indices closed higher, with metal rising the most-up by 5.50-percent, followed by Sun pharma-up by 5.23-pc and Media-up by 3.32 percent today. Also, the Nifty IT-up by 1.92-pc, Nifty Auto-up by 1.89-pc and then Nifty Realty-up by 1.61-pc for the day.
Top percentage gainers on the Nifty-fifty were Vedanta-up 8.34-pc, Sun Pharma-up 7.17-pc, Hindalco and Zee Entertainment rose by 6.91-pc each and Tata Steel added 6.66-pc higher.
On the other hand, Yes Bank and ITC slipped by 0.64 and 0.48 percent respectively and were the only two losers on the Nifty-fifty index.For stock buying tips click on the link.
Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, ONGC, Ultratech cement, NTPC, Hero MotorCorp, PowerGrid, HCL Tech, and IndusInd Bank were among gainers in the 30-scrip Sensex pack.
The stocks that touched their one year-lows lows on NSE include Hindustan-Media-Ventures, Monte-Carlo-Fashions, SpiceJet, HT Media, HCL-Info systems, ZeeMedia, Dynamatic Technologies, Cochin Shipyard and Bank of India.
