Indian share benchmarks were trading with moderate losses in the opening hours with mixed global trends. At 9.50 am the BSE Sensex, was down 191 points at 35,617-mark. The NSE Nifty50 index was down 53 points at 10,666.10.
Sectoral indices on the NSE are seen mixed. Except, the Nifty metal, PSU Bank and realty which were trading in the green, all the other secoral spaces are in red in which FMCG, and IT falls the most over 1 percent.
Among major losers, Yes Bank down 3.31%, Bajaj Auto down 2%, Bajaj Finserve down 1.97%, Reliance down 1.87% whereas Bharti infratel trade up 2.54%, Dr. Reddy’s up 2.37 and Vedanta up 1.77% as major gainers.
Asian stock markets are trading higher on Monday morning with the Shanghai Composite rose over 1%, Hang Seng index of Hong Kong gained 1.5%, the Kospi in South Korea gained 0.92% each. Japan’s Nikkei 225 surged 1.7%, while the Topix also advanced 1.4%.
The US dollar index was at 96.82 after recording highs above 97.3 last week. Meantime, US crude was last up at USD 55.95 a barrel, while Brent crude futures advanced 20 cents to US66.45.
