Key benchmark indices were moving between gains and trade with small losses s through mid-session, after seeing volatility in the morning session.

The BSE Sensex stood at 41215 down 42 points and The Nifty50 index traded down by 20 points to 12095 at around 11.45-hours.

Shares if NIIT Technologies traded lower by 1.40 percent to Rs.1805.94-apiece, after its shareholders have agreed to buy share worth Rs.337.40-Cr.

Shares of LIC Housing-Finance dropped 7.74 percent to Rs.380.40-per share on the NSE as LIC may accelerate the process of amalgamation of its housing finance arm with IDBI Bank.

Shares of Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) slipped 2.15 percent to Rs.466.20-per share after the Inter-Ministerial Group has approved the BPCL privatization proposal. Accordingly, the BPCL will issue a notice to the bids after it is approved by a group of ministers.

Shares of Bharti Airtel slipped 0.11 percent to Rs.564.40 even after the Company made payment of Rs10,000-cr to Deptt of tel-communications (DoT).
