After 9-days losing, the Indian stock market indices are trading on flat note on Tuesday. At 9.35am, the BSE benchmark Sensex lower at 37048-level, down 32 points and the Nifty hover at 11,135-level, down 13 points.
Sun Pharma, Adani Ports, Vedanta, ICICI bank and Yes Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty50, while losers were Tata Steel, ONGC, Tech Mahindra, Grasim and HCL Tech were losers.
Among sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma and Nifty PSU banks are seeing buying while the all other sectors are seen selling.
In currency markets, the rupee opened higher by 1-ps at 70.5/USD against Monday’s close 70.52.
On crude oil watch, Brent crude oil seen volatile amid concerns over supply shortage., Brent crude futures in early trade were at US70.27/barrel, up 0.06pc from its previous close.
On corporate result watch, over 60 companies are scheduled to report their fourth quarter earnings during the day, which include Indian Bank, Union Bank of India, Nestle India and Zee Media.
