IT major Wipro Limited on Thursday has launched a Centre of Excellence on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) centre in Cochin.
The Company has also separately hosted a 2-day event on Industrial IIoT from March 12-13 at its development centre at Cochin, which saw active participation from leading engineering colleges in Kerala.
It is Wipro’s third global IIoT lab, the other two are established at Mountain View in California & Bangalore.
Wipro said, using artificial intelligence, block-chain and robotics, the new lab will develop Proofs of Concept and market-ready Internet -of- Thing solutions in an iterative agile development model.
Looking at Wipro Stocks on NSE, it quoted higher at Rs260.05 per share, up Rs3.20 or 1.25% against its previous close of Rs256.85. The stock hit an intraday high and low of Rs262 and 257 on NSE, on Friday.
