Sensex, Nifty recorded modest gains this week. The Sensex settled above the 36,009.84 after budging above and below that stage in the week. The Nifty ended at 10,795-mark. For the week, the BSE Sensex rose 0.9 percent and the NSE Nifty rose 0.6 percent.
Earning results has come out with Infosys Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IndusInd Bank showin a mixed bag of gains.
Nifty FMCG index went up 2 percent, Pharma index rose 1.3 percent, Bank Nifty & IT gained 1 percent each, Auto index surged 0.6 percent, in contrast Nifty Metal down 1 percent, Energy fell 0.8 percent and Infra index down 0.3% in the week.
