Indian Stock, Commodity, Bond and Currency markets are closed today on account of Mahavir Jayanti.
In Tuesday’s trade, led by strong global cues, both the Sensex & Nifty reached new record levels, scaling to 11,787 marks, adding 97 points, while Sensex gained 370 points to close at 39,275.
The domestic currency –Rupee– in Tuesday’s trade closed lower at 69.61 per US dollar and the yield on ten-year govt bond was recorded at 7.39pc.
Oil prices rose today -Wednesday- on signs of sturdy demand from China refineries, amid tightening supply as producers curb output.
Brent crude oil futures rose 0.29pc to USD71.93/barrel gaining 0.5pc to 72.08/barrel, the highest this year. US WTI crude futures were at USD64.45/barrel, up 0.6pc from their earlier settlement.
