Sensex, Nifty indices were trading marginally higher Morning hours led by gains in Infosys with BSE Sensex up 44 points to 32,872 and the NSE Nifty50 up by 7 points to 10,129. The BSE Mid-Cap index was up 0.19 percent, while the SmallCap index was up 0.18 percent.
Stock in Action: The shares of Tata Motors Ltd, Infosys Ltd and Bharti Airtel rose, while the shares of Wipro Ltd and Hindustan Unilever Ltd fell in the morning hours. Tata Motors’ Stock rose rise ahead on strong sales in November. The company announced that its vehicles sales in domestic market grew by 58% to 52,464 units in Nov 2017 over Nov 2016, due to growing demand across segments.
Tata Steel announced that the company had on 30 Nov 2017, executed agreements to acquire the balance of 74% equity shares of BPPL from JL Power Ventures for a cash consideration of Rs 255 crore.
Hero MotoCorp said that its total two-wheeler sales grew by 26% to 6.05 lakh units in November 2017 over November 2016.
