Markets opened in red on Monday with Nifty slipped below 11,600-marks, amid investors continue monitoring Q4 corporate results.

The rupee opened lower by 7ps at 69.29 per USD on Monday against Friday’s close 69.22. Crude Oil price was declined by over 2pc on Monday, with Brent crude futures trading at USD69.11-per barrel on Monday.

The Sensex opened at 38,719.33 and slipped 329 points at 38633-levels at 9.50 am.   Meantime Nifty which opened at 11,605, slipped 96 points at 11616.55.

Tata Motors, Hindalco, Tata Steel, JSW Steel and Yes bank were among major losers on the Nifty50, on the other hand gainers are BPCL, Wipro, TechMahindra IOC and TCS.

All the sectoral indices are trading red, except Nifty IT and Pharma, with major falls in Nifty metal and Bankings.

ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Bharat Bijlee, Mahindra-CIE-Automotive and Wockhardt will announce Jan-March-19 quarterly results today.
