Markets start a flat note on Tuesday, 20-August, with Nifty surrounding at 11,050.
Meanwhile, Indian rupee opened lower at 71.51 against greenback V/s previous close of 71.43. Further, gains in the dollar against other major currencies and an rise in price of crude oil keep on weigh on the domestic currency.
At 9.55am, the BSE Sensex stood at 37,402-mark up by 52-pts whereas the NSE Nifty50 at 11053 up by just 6-pts.
Mixed marks are seen on sectoral indices, with Nifty IT gained the most by 1.37% at 15,627 led by Mindtree and Infosys while Nifty metal index falls 1% at 2,367.55 led by losses in Coal India and SAIL.
Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Dr.Reddys and PowerGrid were among major Nifty gainers, while Yes Bank, Indiabulls Housing, Britannia, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finance led the losses
Among buzzing stocks trade flat at Rs.12035 per share down by 0.26% after it launched cocoa-malt beverage Milo.
