Market front-line indices are trading lower in the morning session. At 9.50am, the BSE Sensex was trading lower by 189-pts, whereas the NSE Nifty was down by 44-pts in trade.
IndiaBulls Housing Finance, Reliance Industries, BPCL, Tata Motors and Zee Entertainment were among major gainers on the Nifty, while NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Britannia, M&M and HDFC led the losses.
On sectoral indices, Nifty Media, Metal and Realty were trading marginally up, whereas the rest all Nifty sectoral spaces are trading in the red, with maximum losses in Nifty IT (-1.74%), Auto & FMCG (-1.4%) and Pharma, Financial Services (-1.3%) each.
IT stock being the worst hit, led by losses in Mintree, Tata Elxi, Tech Mahindra and Infosys down by 2 to 3.64% in range.
Among buzzing stocks, over 8%, following a various updates by the company which include Saudi Aramco inked non-binding agreement to acquire 20% stake in company’s oil to chemicals segment.
Shares of Tata Motors also rose 1.88% after JLR posted a 5pc rise in sales in July.
