The Nifty Bank Index moves higher with marginal profit through after noon hours session Wednesday as part of a market fluctuation.
The Bank Nifty Index which opened at 26,785.95 today, currently (at 2.20pm) trade higher at 27,193-level, up by 1.38%.
The Bank Nifty traded flat initially losing 0.68% to its intraday low of 26,641-level. Subsequently, the buying interest was supported by banking sector shares with major gains in HDFC Bank, RBL bank, State bank of India, Bank of Baroda, ICICI bank, Kotak Bank, Yes bank, PNB, Federal bank and Axis Bank.
However, IndusInd bank and IDFC First Bank is currently witness selling pressure at the minimum level.
Among 50-scrip Nifty, 22 stocks were in the red, while the 28 nos were trading with gains. Meantime, benchmark Nifty stood flat at 10,798.30 and the Sensex at 36,614-level, up by 52-points.
