Markets start lower, What Markets show this week

Stock markets have started the day on a lower note with the Nifty traded around near 10,750 in the opening, Monday.

Crude Oil prices edged up today, supported by ongoing supply cuts from OPEC and Russia. Brent crude oil futures were at USD 60.75/barrel, up 0.5%, from their last close. US WTI crude futures were up 0.45 at USD 51.81 a barrel. 

The BSE Sensex is down 173 points at 35836-levels and the NSE Nifty down 56 points at 10738-mark during morning session.  Infosys, Yes bank, Bharti Infratel and Sun Pharma were among major gainers at this time, while Axis bank, L&T, JSW Steel and Bharti Airtel were major losers.

Except IT and Pharma, all other sectoral spaces are trading in the red, with Nifty Metal and Realty were falling the most over 1 percent.

Results this week: HUL, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Federal Bank, Wipro, Zee, and Mindtree are among the major companies scheduled to release their quarterly earnings this week.
