Markets open Lower, Realty stock down

Indian Markets open flat note amid negative cues from other Asian stocks on Friday.

Overseas, most Asian stock markets were on lower territory as rates of sovereign bonds fall. Meantime, Crude oil prices fell today after an attack on tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

Meanwhile, the Indian currency opened flat at 69.51.USD as against previous close 69.51.

At 9.50am, the BSE Sensex was down 160 points at 39,580-level, while the Nifty is down 56 points at 11,857-level.

PowerGrid (up 0.95%), Wipro (up 0.70%), Vedanta (up 0.65%) , Infratel (up0.42), and L&T (up0.37%)  were among major gainers on the Nifty, while Indiabull Housing (down 4.22%), Zeel (down 2.45%) IndusInd Bank (down 1.59%) YesBank (down 1.49%), Dr.Reddy  (down 1.38%) led the loss.

All the sectoral indices, Except Nifty metal, were trading lower led by major declines in Nifty Pharma, realty and media.  Nifty realty index were trading down 1.83% at this time  with falls in Indiabulls real estate, DLF, SunTech among others, as major index losers.
