All eyes are centered on the Interim Budget that is to be announced by Finance Ministry at 11.00 am, today. The govt is expected to formulate a host of populist announcements in the interim budget. It is broadly expected that the budget may include tax reduction and a few package for farm sector. Indian Rupee opens at 71.10 against greenback.
Indian share benchmarks, Sensex & Nifty, opened higher on Friday, just hours prior to the Budget. The BSE Sensex is higher 106 points at 36,362-level, while the NSE Nifty is trading 27 points up at 10,858-mark at around 9.45 am.
Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, HeroMotorCorp, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Finance were among gainers at this time, while Vedanta, JSW Steel, Kotak Bank, UPL and PowerGrid were losers.
Except Nifty Bank, metal and private bank, all the other sectoral indices are trading in the red, wherein Nifty Auto and FMCG trade higher near 1 percent.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd trade higher 0.60% after strong quarterly numbers while Bharti Airtel share price gained 3.23% to Rs 316.30, after positive Q3 results.
