Indian share markets opened on flat note in early trade and gradually picked up the session on a higher note through mid-morning. At 10.35am, the Sensex rose over 165-points to 39,147 and the NSE Nifty moved to 11,758-level, up 33points from the previous close.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, NTPL, Bharti Infratel, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel were major Nifty gainers, whereas HCL Tech, TCS, Grasim, Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel were losing.

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) gain with Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum gained 1 to 2percnet after crude oil prices declined, on surging output in United States.

IT stocks falls with Nifty IT index down 1.43pc, major index losers were HCL Tech, TCS and NIIT Technologies falling over 2pc, while Nifty Realty Index was the top performing sectoral index, up 1.26 followed by PSU bank, Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services.
