Benchmark indices of the markets opened marginally higher on Thursday, 5-December, on positive global cues.

At 9.40-am, the BSE Sensex is up by 84-points at 40934-level, and the NSE Nifty AT 12066-mark, up by 23 points.

Zee Entertainment, Titan Company, Ultratech Cement, Tata Motors and Reliance were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, SunPharma, JSW Steel and Hindalco were top losers.

Among sectoral stocks, Nifty IT, metal and Pharma are trading in the red, with major selling in the Metal index which slipped 0.73e5 led by SW Steel and NMDC.

On the other hand, Nifty bank, Auto, Financial service, FMCG, Media, Banking and Realty are trading in the green with major gains in Media Index which went up 0.76% higher driven by Zee Ent, Zee Media and Hathway which were up by 1.37 to 2.74% in range.

Shares of HDFC Asset-Management-Company slipped 3.25% after the company announced its green-shoe option for 0.86% more stake sale through the OFS route.
